Shipping & Delivery -

K&C ship all live fish via our DEFRA licensed courier, APC Overnight using a LF12 service or DX using a secure flex service 

Delivery days for shipments of live fish are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.

Once your order is confirmed a member of K&C will be in touch to advise you of your delivery day, please note we will not ship any fish if overnight temperatures are below 5c.

At K&C Rift Valley Cichlids UK, we pride ourselves on providing the highest level of care and attention to our customers and our fish. Part of this commitment includes ensuring the safe and secure shipping of our live fish, especially when it comes to overnight deliveries.

When it comes to shipping live fish, we understand the importance of maintaining the ideal conditions to guarantee the health and well-being of our aquatic pets. Our team takes great care to ensure that our fish are packaged properly with the necessary insulation and oxygenation to keep them comfortable during their journey. We work with reliable courier services to ensure that our live fish are delivered promptly and in the best possible condition.

Additionally, Kev and Chris work full-time day jobs, so our shipping schedules are planned around our working patterns. We understand the value of convenience and want to ensure that the delivery process is as smooth as possible for both parties. We will work with our customers to agree on a shipping day that is convenient for all involved.

Shipments of live fish will be delivered on a dedicated LIVE FISH next day service usually before 1pm at a cost of £35 per box, additional boxes are charged at £20ea.

Once we have dispatched the fish it is the customer's responsibility to make sure they are in to receive the fish. Please only place an order if you will be home on the given day to sign for the delivery.

We cannot be held liable if you are not in on the day to receive the fish. If you are not there when the driver calls they will be taken to the local depot where you will need to arrange collection.

An adult must be in to sign for the delivery.

Please make sure any damaged goods are stated for when signing for the delivery. By signing for the delivery you accept they are in good condition.

There are sometimes delays out of the couriers control due to weather, traffic and accidents, please contact us if your delivery is late and we will be happy to assist, but we do still need you to be available for the delivery due to it being livestock.

Guarantee On Live Fish
We offer a 'Arrive Alive' Guarantee on all of our Live Fish. This means that should a fish arrive dead we will issue you with a credit note or refund to the value of the fish lost.

In the unlikely event that the fish has died during shipping, we must have photographic evidence of the fish you have lost still in the sealed bag. The photograph must be sent within 30 minutes of the shipment being signed for and we will issue you with a credit note or refund to the value of the fish lost.

Please be advised that cancellations made after 48 hours of a website order will be subject to a 20% cancellation fee. Cancellations can be made via Email, text or phone call
